| Dean
Solden has been involved in the senior health care and
the real estate industry since 1990. He is the President
and owner of Solden Development Company, LLC, a health
care development company which develops, manages, and
consults on senior health care facilities and real estate
projects. He founded the company in 1997. He is known
nationally as an innovator in the senior health care
industry.
Mr.
Solden is President and CEO of the award winning Westland
Convalescent and RehabCenter (WCC), a 230 bed skilled
community located in Westland, Michigan. He has been
CEO since 1993. He is also a licensed Nursing Home
Administrator.
Mr.
Solden is active in the state and national assisted
living industry. He is a past Board Member of
NCAL, the National Center for Assisted Living, one
of two national boards on assisted living, and sits
on the national Regulatory and Policy Sub-committee,
which is helping create assisted living policy for
the country. He is a Life Member of the Michigan
Center for Assisted Living, the state affiliate of
NCAL and was its Chair from 2005-2007. In 2003 Mr.
Solden was awarded the Presidents award from
the Michigan Center for Assisted Living, for outstanding
work in the field of assisted living.
Mr.
Solden has testified for the Michigan State Senate
and Legislature on senior health care issues. He speaks
throughout the country and frequently writes about
senior health care issues.
Mr.
Solden is also a professional jazz pianist and composer.
He lives in Chelsea, Michigan, with his wife and daughter.
